INTRODUCTION
After three years of using Patreon to help fund my project, I realised I’d become too reliant on an increasingly dominant (and expensive) corporate platform.
In my quest to be independent from that kind of scenario, I worked out how to build my own membership platform, an environment which I built into this website and one that was much more aligned to the ethos of The Lifeboat Station Project.
I called it The LSP Society, a place which has become core to the project’s survival during such challenging times.
It also serves as a beacon to other creators by showing that, despite popular perceptions, it’s totally possible to fund our work without having to rely on corporate mainstream platforms.
In September 2024, I announced that I was no longer able to make new work on The Lifeboat Station Project. Instead, I am focusing my attentions on bringing the book of this vast body of work to fruition.
The LSP Society continues to thrive today and I value the support of my patrons who are looking forward to the much-anticipated coffee table tome.

Migrating from Patreon?
Thank you! I’ll be gradually adding the key posts from the last three years to the Members’ Area, which you can access when you create your new account for The LSP Society.
Your original rewards will be honoured, of course — The LSP Society should be considered as a continuation from Patreon.
If you need to double-check how to migrate, click here for my Patreon post describing the path.
