ST. ABBS

St. Abbs was the very first Scottish station to be documented by the project.

On 11th May 2015, the RNLI announced that they’d made the very difficult decision to close St. Abbs Lifeboat Station as part of a review of the Northumberland and Scottish Borders coastline.

As I wrote in this blog post I’d like this collection of photographs to be viewed as a commemoration to the service of St. Abbs Lifeboat Station; a station that has served the RNLI and the seafaring community since 1911.

Please note that I’ve donated print No.1 of each of the six photographs you see here to the station. Therefore, the St. Abbs editions are only available from Print No.2 through to No.50.
