  1. Just watched countryside and loved what you are doing. Sadly I think I’ve missed your visit to Hayling Island, where I live. My friend Jo (female) is a land volunteer, she drives the tractor. I will follow your progress with much interest. I love black and white photography, you have inspired me to get back out there with my camera. You mentioned there may be a revisit to Hayling, if so please advise as I would love to watch you. Great work. Jane x

    • Hi Jane, Thank you for your kind words. Planning to revisit Hayling in the autumn… Jack

  2. Keep up the great work Jack, this is a really inspiring project and one we’re following very closely here at Amateur Photographer magazine. Good coverage on Countryfile the other week too! Michael Topham

    • Thank you, Michael — that’s great to know. If ever you’d like to run a piece or hold a talk on the Project, you know where I am. Best wishes, Jack

  3. Love your photo`s. My step son is on the lifeboat in Ramsgate Kent. Will you be doing that station.

    • Indeed, every RNLI station. I spent my early years living on a boat in Ramsgate harbour, so looking forward to that station very much…

  4. What a great and inspiring project. There is something that the old techniques bring to photography that just cannot be captured using modern technology. I still dig out the 35mm kit every so often to have a play.

  5. Fascinated to hear of your project Jack and delighted to bring it up on Google here in New Zealand. All the best. Jo Ffowcs Williams
